Replying to Skype SMS message from phone?

I sent a few Skype SMS messages to different European mobile phones. They are having trouble replying. I mean they reply, but I don’t get it on my Skype screen on my PC. Do I need to get a skype phone number for this, so they can reply to my Skype SMS messages?
