Well, seein how no one has answered your question means that no one has an idea, other than the "Go to a store, buy a PSP, and swap it with yours and say it didn't work" idea that you came up with. I dont know what you should do, i dont. I recently broke mine by putting it in my backpack with some fairly large text books (i know, not smart) and the screen is completely shattered, amazingly, everything still works, it still reads disks, charges, reads media on the Memory stick, but it is 100% impossible to "view" anything on the screen, i was considering shipping it so a friend (with insurance) and saying that they handling was poor and it broke my PSP, but i was on the same boat as you and it just wouldnt feel right, as it is clearly my fault that it is broken. I have yet to buy a new one. Sorry i cant help.
