Hi, ive just downloaded a patched rom and put it on my r4 card. The game loads but when i click new game, just a black screen comes up and it doesnt do anything. Any suggestions???

The ds is in pretty decent condition. Very hard to notice scratches on top, and only like 2 scratches on bottom. Hardly noticeable when on. Everything else is flawless. My ds was modded. It is black from the inside and all yellow from the oustside. Stylus, battery cover, Gba protector are all yellow. Inside, everything is black except for d pad and a and b buttons, they are yellow. I’m selling it with a pikachu carrying pouch, 1 big stylus, 1 white stylus. 1 game carrying case. Resident evil: deadly silence game and a ttds. Similar to R4. And a 2gb micro sd card. I was thinking on selling it for $130. Is it worth that much? Oh, I also have the charger, thanks.

my sister sent me an r4 for my birthday and i don’t want to download a rom that turns out to be a virus. she originaly showed it to me and i said it looked cool this being why she bought it for me. now i have no clue what to do with it without putting anything on my computer i want free roms. hhhhheeeelllllllppppp…..

My psp sat in a drawer for months, dead, due to the screen being cracked. It worked fine aside from the half-destroyed screen. I bought a new screen and installed it right away without testing to see if the psp still worked. I turned it on and the screen doesn’t light up or anything, I just hear the startup sound then nothing, the green power light stays on though. I don’t hear anything when I hit the d-pad so I think there’s something wrong with something other than the screen. I put the old screen back in and the same thing happens. I replaced the screen before with no issues like this. I made sure all the screws were tight and that the lcd ribbons were secure.

I searched around the web to try and find someone with the same symptoms but no luck.
If it is bricked then will a pandora battery fix it?

Oh and no I’m not gonna send it to you.
Good to hear it’s not bricked but I’ve double and triple checked the ribbon connections and I’m sure that’s not it but I’ll give it another go anyways.

If it’s not the ribbons then what may it be? And what were the three ways to recover it you mentioned?

Oh and I forgot to mention it’s the 1001 “fat” model

Ok found what was wrong, one of the metal pins on the backlight ribbon got pushed out when I put the new screen in. Unfortunately even after sliding it back the screen is still dead, I’m sure it would need to be miraculously soldered back by tiny psp fairies, so, off to the pawn shop to find a psp with a broken screen that otherwise works I guess. Thanks guys.
